Een fijne combinatie waarin vrijwel alle muziek kan worden uitgevoerd. De viool speelt voornamelijk de melodie, de piano versterkt de melodie en vult deze aan met akkoorden en tegenstemmen, de contrabas verzorgt de fundering. Door de lage tonen van dit instrument klinkt deze instrument combinatie als een klein orkest.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Niet iedereen heeft een concertvleugel of zelfs maar een akoestische piano staan. Daarom kan de pianist ook spelen op een digitale piano, met een klank die op afstand nauwelijks te onderscheiden is van een echte piano. Op verzoek kan het trio worden uitgebreid met andere strijk- of blaasinstrumenten of nog mooier, met een goede zanger.
